WOW – I have just not been keeping up with this blog thing. I make plans to write a post and then life just happens… 2015 ended really busy – thankfully – really really busy. And 2016 started off with me turing 30 ( insert friends clip of joey here ). I’m still not sure of how I feel about that.
Well Edward is now ONE! I really can’t believe it and how quick and blurry it all went by.
We all ventured out to Point Reyes in West Marin to find this fabled cypress tree tunnel and after a little hunting we found it. It was something we had past many times unknowingly when we had driven around out there before. I had dreamed about this setup for months after another photo friend posted a picture of it and that it was in Point Reyes – I just knew it would be the perfect place for Edward’s first birthday pictures. And boy was it.
All of us joined in on the photo taking and of course Edward is just as much of a ham as his big sister… thank goodness! We got some good toothy smiles out of him and some silly photos of Emily too. Heck its such a popular photo destination there was another professional portrait photographer there and offered to get one of all of us. Thank you to who ever you were you saved me the pain of setting up my darn tripod.

We also had a little cake smash session with him and his BFF Pressley (more on that in another post – let’s just say it’s Alice and Wonderland themed). The boy just loves cake and probably would have been just like the little boy in Matilda who eats a WHOLE cake in one sitting.
And who doesn’t love some outtakes – thanks to my great assistant… I mean husband… for really doing his best to wrangle these to wild purple minions during the session. Did I mention Edward has been walking for nearly 3 months now… yeah. Life.
